S&R Sport x Delfina USA Welcome Nicolas Saveljic to the Team: From Kotor to Team USA Water Polo

Posted by S&R Sport x Delfina USA on Apr 14th 2026

If you’ve been around high-level water polo, you’ve probably heard the name Nicolas Saveljic, and for good reason. From his roots in Kotor to competing with USA Water Polo, Nicolas has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic, hardworking players in the game.

Official Partnership: S&R Sport x Delfina USA Welcome Nicolas Saveljic

We’re excited to officially welcome Nicolas Saveljic as a sponsored partner with S&R Sport x Delfina USA.

This partnership is built around one shared goal: growing the game of water polo at every level.

Through Global Water Polo, Nicolas is leading the charge by:

  • Hosting elite clinics and international camps
  • Creating global training opportunities for athletes
  • Connecting U.S. players with high-level international experiences

With support from Delfina USA x S&R Sport, the partnership includes:

  • Custom team suits, caps, and gear
  • Event branding and co-branded merchandise
  • Digital marketing, content creation, and athlete features
  • Flash stores for camps, clinics, and international trips
  • Future development of co-branded training products

This isn’t just a sponsorship, it’s a long-term partnership focused on elevating the sport worldwide.

Built Different from the Start

Nicolas grew up playing for VK Primorac Kotor, where he quickly became a go-to scorer. Leading his club team in goals for multiple seasons, he was already competing internationally as a teenager, representing Montenegro in both European and World Championships.

That international edge? You still see it in his game today: physical, smart, and always one step ahead.

Dominating at UCLA

When Nicolas came to UCLA, he didn’t just fit in; he took over.

His college career is stacked:

  • Peter J. Cutino Award Winner (2020)
  • ACWPC National Player of the Year (2020)
  • 4x All-American
  • NCAA Tournament MVP (2020)

In 2020 alone, he led UCLA in scoring, steals, and overall impact. One of his most insane performances? Dropping 8 goals against Stanford, tying an MPSF record. Not normal.

Even coming off an injury in 2021, he still led the team in scoring and steals. That says everything about his consistency and mindset.

Now Repping Team USA

Fast forward to today, Nicolas is competing with Team USA and continuing to prove himself on the global stage. At the 2025 World Aquatics Championships, he put up 8 goals against top international competition, just another example of showing up when it matters most.

More Than Just a Player

What makes Nicolas different isn’t just stats (even though they’re elite). It’s how he continues to build something bigger than himself.

He’s:

  • Competing at the highest level
  • Coaching and mentoring young athletes
  • Creating global pathways for water polo development

That’s the kind of leadership the sport needs right now.
