When you take care of your gear, you can extend its usability and lifespan for hours and even years. Always rinse out your suits and caps after exiting the pool. This will wash out chlorine, which can, over time, break down your suits and caps.
Air dry your water polo items out of direct sunlight to avoid fading or UV damage. Store your suits and caps in dark, dry areas to prevent cracking or pulling.
When suits, caps, and equipment are properly cared for, you can typically expect to get over 300 hours of use from your gear.
The best way to store water polo merchandise, such as balls, caps, practice supplies, and other items from our water polo store, is to keep them in a dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Never store wet items in a bag or a dark area; always ensure your balls, caps, and other water polo items are completely dry before storing. Storing wet items can lead to mildew buildup and material erosion.
Do not launder your gear whenever possible. If you have to wash and dry your suit, always wash on a delicate cycle, then air dry outside the machine. Laundering often can break down the fabric.
